I thought it was the dog days of summer

Here it is, the end of the month of July. We haven't had a lot of great weather in Milwaukee and now we're actually closer to Christmas 2009 than Christmas 2008.

So now we prepare for the dog days of summer, whatever that means. But wait. We discovered this last week that it's not really the dog days of summer. It's the Llama days of summer.

That's right. The Llama days of summer.

We went to the Washington County fair last weekend and were stunned to see something we've never seen at a fair, or anywhere else.

We got there in time to see the Washington County Llama Project. Apparently the local kids have a competition where they dress in costumes and dress their llamas in matching costumes.

So we saw a nurse with a patient(llama); a wizard with a unicorn(llama)and lots of other costumed kids with costumed llamas. It was a lot of fun and you could tell the kids had spent plenty of time planning and dressing their pets. Way to go kids. Have fun.

Of course we're planning fun for the weekend. Going to the Mt Horeb Mustard Museum for their annual Mustard Day on Saturday. I'll let you know the highlights next wee.
